Dear Diane

Dear Diane,

I had a fortune telling session with a woman who my friend goes to. It was ok until she told me that I have a curse that is keeping me from getting my dream job and meeting my soulmate. She believes that she can rid me of the curse, but it will cost her many thousands of dollars to obtain the materials to do this. The curse makes sense because my life is really screwed up. Is there a way to let go of this curse on my own? I don’t have the money to have it removed and it scares me to think that I will spend my life in pain because I have no way to fix it. Can you give me any advice to fix this problem? Thank you, Daria,

Daria,

The first thing that I would do is take everything that this “fortune teller” said and flush it down the toilet. Don’t you think that it is odd that this person will need to bankrupt you in order to help you? Unfortunately there is a game that is played by some really criminal people. They will start by telling you that the reason for all of your issues is a curse. They will then attempt to bleed you dry over time as they supposedly “fix” things in your life. Everyone goes through difficult times, and so many people are looking to find a way forward right now. The best way to improve your life is to trust in yourself. Please know that your dream job is out there, and so is love! The only thing that can stop you is YOU. If you choose to give an imaginary curse more power than you give yourself, you are allowing yourself to be victimized. Don’t give up on life. As your attitude and confidence grow, I see you blossoming! Life is an amazing journey, so enjoy the experience! Good luck!—Diane
